Background

Amanda P. Velazquez, D.M.D. was raised in Plant City, Florida. She received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Florida, graduating with honors. Then she received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Florida, graduating 7^th in her dental class. Dr. Amanda continued her dental education with a residency specializing in pediatric dentistry at the University of Florida. Following the completion of her dental education, Dr. Amanda came to work with Dr. Johnny Johnson, and has been a great addition to the office. Dr. Amanda’s knowledge in the field of pediatric dentistry has also earned her the title of Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Despite Dr. Amanda’s training and experience she feels the greatest asset to her services is being a parent herself.

Dr. Amanda resides in Land O’ Lakes with her husband Gabe, and their daughter and son. She most values her time with family and friends. Spending 6 years living in Gainesville, Florida, the Velazquez family is naturally, devoted to the Gator Nation.
