2012 Relay for Life
The Tooth Trotters are warming up and getting excited for this years Relay for Life event! It will be held on April 20, 2012 at Countrside High School. The Relay will start at 6pm and end the following morning at 7am. We walk throughout the night in support of those who have been touched by cancer. There will be games, contests, food, and fun, all with the goal of raising money for the American Cancer Society. Those of you who attended last year know how great this event was, and if you missed it, we would love to see you this year! Last year, thanks to all of your support, The Tooth Trotters raised over $4,300 and the event raised over $56,000 for RELAY FOR LIFE!
We Want Your Aluminum Can Tops!
Dr. Johnny Johnson & Associates is so proud of our patient Aviana McDaniel and her efforts to help raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children. She has been collecting aluminum can tabs for donation to the hospital for over a year now. We keep a jar in our office for collection of these tabs. Aviana delivers the tabs to the hospital, where they are redeemed at a local recycling plant. The funds go to the hospital to help buy items for patients. Dental Health Education
Prevention of dental decay and oral disease is our mission, and educating our little ones is the best way to ensure healthy choices in the future. Our office provides oral health education programs (free of charge) to our area preschools. If you are interested in having your school participate in these programs please contact us for more information.
Athletic Mouthguards Score Points for Protecting Teeth!
Dr. Johnny Johnson and Associates supplied the Palm Harbor University High School basketball team with custom fit athletic mouthguards this year. These mouthguards will help to protect their teeth, lips, tongue and cheeks from injury. Studies have even shown athletic mouthguards to help to reduce the chances of a concussion or jaw fracture following a blow to the mouth. We are so proud of the P.H.U.H.S. Hurricanes for protecting their teeth while protecting the ball!

Dr. Johnny Johnson and Associates have been YMCA supporters for many years. We feel the YMCA shares our mission by serving to strengthen the health and wellness of our community. Not only do we support their annual giving campaign but we regularly donate time and dental items to YMCA events.

Staff members Wendy and Emily showed their support of the YMCA's *MASH program (*Mainstream Adults Sharing Hope) by participating in the YMCA MASH 5k race in December. The race was a big success for the Y, and a big success for Wendy and Emily, who share our office focus on HEALTH for the whole family!
